About Preston Callicott

My early career was in sales, marketing, business development and management for Hewlett Packard, Advanced Micro Devices, and Price Waterhouse Management Consulting Services.After more than a decade spent in those large corporations, I drank the Koolaid and made the leap to Silicon Valley-based startups in executive management roles for business development, product development and information technology. I found my passion, leading innovative, nimble teams, moving at Mach-2 and pivoting like a Latin dancer. I successfully sold our company, Five Talent Software, to Effectual Inc., effective June 1st, 2020. We exceeded our pre-Covid19 2020 projections and our team, now under the Effectual banner, continues to exceed expectations. 2021 looks like another massive growth year for Effectual and our Professional Services team.I'm fascinated with the future of tech, specifically AI and Quantum Computing, and its impact on people, business and society/governments. I've recently relabeled myself as a Tech Humanist. This label is not original, read the book "Tech Humanist: How You Can Make Technology Better for Business and Better for Humans" by Kate O'Neill. I'm not a Luddite.
