Professor Phillip (Phil) Cartwright is an American citizen raised in the Chicago area living in France for thirty years. A Ph.D. in economics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, he has forty years of academic and business experience. Today, he is Full Professor and Dean Int’l DBA, Dir., Centre for Applied Business and Mngmt Research, Ascencia Business School, Paris; and Visiting Researcher, Royal College of Music, London. Phil's teaching and research interests relate to quantitative methods and the performing arts. He is Founder, HorizonVU Sound and Movement. He studies music theory and composition at the Berklee College of Music and he is a member of the American Economic Association, American Psychological Association, American Musicological Society, the Dance Studies Association and the Society for Dance Research.HorizonVU Sound and Movement provides a forum for curious minds with interests in music and dance spanning multiple facets of creative performance, composition and choreography .
