I recently achieved one of my goals by becoming a Certified Billiard Referee. I enjoy playing pool, running tournaments and educating people on the rules of pocket billiards. As a Certified Referee, I get invited to The CSI Billiard Expo held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Many thousands of players, both professional and amateur, compete for Trophies and Prize Money. I have participated as both a player and an official and I have to say I enjoy being an Official very much. I got started running tournaments while playing pool in bars in California. I started and ran my first tournament in Pasadena, California. Since then I have run or officiated tournaments in Seattle, Saint Petersburg, Jersey City, Manhattan, Dallas, and Las Vegas. I hope to add many more cities to this list.Through my billiard experience around the country, another profession caught my eye, Karaoke Shows. I first started as an unwilling participant, and within a year, I had my own karaoke show in Seattle, Washington. From there, I helped other bars and restaurants set up and run their own karaoke shows. When running shows, I saw myself as the "Great Oz" behind the curtain. I learned how to use audio equipment to make karaoke not just good, but GREAT! I incorporated Music Videos between singers to keep the non-singing part of the audience entertained as well. I, therefore, have experience running a soundboard and setting up sound equipment in a Front of House form. I'm currently studying to become a Commercial Drone Pilot and get my Part 7 FAA License. I’m skilled and versed in most mainstream computer programs in addition to most karaoke hosting programs. I build karaoke machines for bars and restaurants in my spare time and maintain the karaoke libraries of those machines.I enjoy cooking, karaoke, BCA Billiards, HO Model Trains, Dogs, Movies, PC Gaming, photography, videography, droneography, railfanning, and most technology.I have experience with carpentry, computers, cooking, drones, Home Automation, MCing, running front-of-house (FOH) audio, DJing, VJing, and KJing. In my free time, I enjoy building legos, cooking and baking for others, weathering and running model trains, and computer gaming. I also enjoy going out and singing karaoke and playing pool.

Consultant Principal OwnerAkc - Advanced Karaoke Concepts Nov 2001 - PresentGreater Seattle Area With Clients In Other StatesI am usually responsible for building PCs for karaoke, video, dj systems, maintaining them and the sound systems that are used for nightclubs generally in a Front of House (FOH) manner. Additionally, I'm called on to innovate ideas for karaoke like audio or video recordings of singers, concepts, and event planning. In past I have taken musical scores and arranged them for computer generated karaoke versions of songs that have never existed except in my library of music. For my personal shows, I've made or blended videos to entertain the audiences, usually with comedic themes. I run wires, trouble shoot sound problems and broken equipment, solder broken parts, do a lot of running to Guitar Center and Fry's but most of all, I wait for my clients to make up their minds because sometimes they just can't see or understand the benefits of what I'm saying. With so much moving from analogue to digital and having a lot of experience with computers empowers me to protect them from viral attacks that can be as easy as a host plugging their portable device into the computer to charge it during a show (true scenario!). I suggest equipment to better the sound and set up the equipment and generally get called when the house specialist is out of town and the venue needs it done now (that means odd hours).

Technical AssistantThe Goddess Karaoke Show Nov 2001 - Jun 2002Greater Seattle AreaAided Carla Huntoon with her technical skills in running equipment in a karaoke show and she helped me learn how to run a show from the people perspective. I procured my own equipment (on a trial by learning basis) and a collection of music so that we didn't have to rent the equipment for each nights show. Carla was instrumental in making me the karaoke host that I had become and we had wonderful times together with the audience and our experiments on how far we could push the envelope of fun, I owe her a great debt. We had to part was over a business matter between her contract with a vendor and I not being party to it, but I understood business and respect her to this day. Go Goddess!

ManagerEgghead Software Feb 1990 - Jan 1991West Los AngelesWorked at the discount store located directly across the street from the main store. We carried product that was one or two versions behind the current version. I directed and coordinated (via BBS, FAX and Phone - no internet then) with companies to verify upgrade costs and plans for our copies of identical pieces of software selling across the street at full retail and then began moving more and more product due to the cheaper upgrade routes to the full version than purchasing it at the retail store. Additionally, this increased our traffic flow as customers began shopping at our location before the main store. Left to pursue Fry's Electronics.
