I'm a backend engineer who leads software strategies and teams specialising in clean energy start-ups. For over a decade I have worked on research led data focused application development at top-tier institutes in Europe and the US – including Stanford University where I worked on machine learning applications. A common thread throughout these roles has been a strong belief in pushing boundaries through the fusion of data and software. This focused on computational investigation of ternary alloy nanoparticles with emphasis on optimization of strain and ligand effects to improve catalytic activity. During my time in this position, I was also involved in development of a machine learning augmented genetic algorithm, written in Python and implemented within the Atomic Simulation Environment (ASE).
