Traveled extensively throughout the Americas, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand to direct the setup and configuration of hardware and software for the Pure Data and Cloud Pak systems as a member of the Worldwide (WW) Installation Team. Developed and implemented technical solutions optimizing productivity and reducing complexity.Two Notable Accomplishments:Accomplishment #1: I conducted critical IT systems upgrade for a client experiencing explosive growth in a time constrained environment. After cross functionally collaborating with SMEs across multiple units, I assessed the situation variables and then developed and executed a revised upgrade schedule. The result: One exceptionally satisfied customer who even expanded systems footprint as a result. Accomplishment #2: A key client wanted to relocate a data warehouse from one city to another and scheduled a full week to conduct the move. Internally experienced miscommunications within the client’s company around the move resulted in pre-move regulatory reporting requirements being overlooked and jeopardized the entire relocation. I reacted quickly to remedy a chaotic situation by responding within one hour to the crisis and flying across the country with 24 hours to install the required hardware in the new location and produce the needed reports.The result: The client avoided having to pay potentially costly fines and also avoided experiencing a major embarrassment at the leadership level.
