Currently leading Cal’s premier student-led space research club. Main responsibilities include:- Providing oversight for the sub-teams and general project advancement- Interfacing with external advisors and sponsors- Coordinating with Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) and Engineering Student Council (ESC)- Managing recruitment

Leading a team of five to design and prototype a system to extract water from frozen lunar soil. Also researching mechanical soil extraction methods and designing a thermodynamic system to transport the water from frozen soil into a compressed vapor

Group Vision: To push the boundaries of space exploration through multiple student-led, industry-grade projects.Responsibilities: Facilitates communication between sub teams and industry or academic experts for advice, funding, or resources. Also designing and prototyping a lunar rover capable of extracting water from lunar regolith, in partnership with NASA Ames.

Prepared and performed tensile testing on Stainless Steel and CuCrZr dog-bone samples heat treated to different temperatures. Used resulting stress/strain curves and fracture patterns to compare key characteristics, such as ultimate tensile strength and fracture type.

Completed independent research project investigating the biophysical effect of ocean acidification on bivalve mollusk immunology and physiology. Results presented in a poster symposium at Stony Brook University. Expected publication(s) in refereed journal.
