Current• Carry out administrative work within the Embassy ensuring it achieves its objectives following Barbados’ foreign policy goals.• Consular Services — Acting as the first point of contact in handling and monitoring public enquiries including face-to-face, telephone and written enquiries explaining procedural and documentary requirements. Processing, reviewing and preparing documents for citizenship and immigration services, visa and passport applications, and notarial and authentication services. • Managing the Embassy’s social media channels — Creating engaging content per Barbados’ foreign policy goals. Translating and sharing information from main internal stakeholders from the Government of Barbados: Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Invest Barbados, the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc, etc. Providing replies to social inquiries. Moderating obscene or politically motivated content or comments.• Translator/Interpreter — translating official documents and written materials required in-house and acting as interpreter, including during high-level visits and exchanges providing simultaneous interpretation from English to Spanish and vice versa. • Managing the Ambassador’s invitations and logistics for meetings and events.• Drafting, preparing, and reviewing official communications in support of the Ambassador• Liaising with the Government, Private Sector, and other entities and individuals to advance the work of the Embassy. • Assisting other staff members as necessary and performing other duties outlined by the Head of Mission.• Other administrative duties as required, including coordinating and providing logistic support for the Embassy’s public diplomatic events.
