I’m Phil Cutcliffe. For the past 10 years I have been a consultant brought in by CIOs and CTOs to address the problems they see in their organisations. My titles can often be a bit misleading. For most of the past 10 years most of my time has been as a trouble shooter. Stepping into various interim leadership roles to address problems and get teams delivering. I frequently have line management and budget responsibilities both for my clients and my own companies. I have written and run courses on delivery.Product managementI am one of the few people in tech whose journey started out as a customer of IT sitting in the business. I then crossed over to become a Business Analyst before gradually morphing into a Product Owner. While my titles are usually delivery titles, I am almost aways addressing gaps in product management at the same time. Getting all stakeholders aligned on what work needs to be done and ruthlessly prioritising based on value and cost. I have written and run courses on product management. Coaching, training and mentoringI have trained 1000+ people, in 7 different countries. Both in certified courses and bespoke training of my design. I have a small library of reusable game based agile training I can use to cover different concepts. I provide agile coaching and mentoring from c-suite to team level and have managed teams of coaches, both for clients and my own company. Agile and DevOps knowledgeI have a deep knowledge of agile, Scrum, lean and Kanban and how to scale them. In addition to being a certified trainer and producing my own material I also speak at the occasional conference, write articles on agile and even produce the occasional video. We sponsored and ran Agile South Coast from 2021 to 2024.Personal I am married, have 3 children and a couple of cats and while I work all over the place I live in Southampton.
