Plan eliminated inefficiencies and increased high-payoff activities beneficial to US and African partner security interests.Successfully coordinated this planning effort with several US agencies with equities in Africa and gained Secretary of Defense approval for the plan. DoD used our planning methods in its development of best practices for collaboration with other government agencies.Strategic plan resulted in a 36% increase in investment in military capacity building programs and a continued expansion of strategic bases on the continent, despite overall DoD budget reductions.
