Define the strategy and lead a team of Product Managers to develop Fiber (GPON, XGS-PON, 25GS-PON) and 5G-NR Fixed Wireless Access Gateway/CPE product platforms for global markets. Using customer intelligence and market research, segment the product portfolio to support markets with differing needs, trading features and performance for cost/price. Develop recommendations with supporting business cases and engage Executive Leadership and other key stakeholders to obtain approval/funds to proceed. Manage the development life-cycle. Assist Sales and go to market teams with selling into target customers. Maintain the portfolio post-launch through defining and developing product derivatives and cost-reduction activities.

Expanding on my previous Director role, lead the product lines for Fiber and Cellular/Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) broadband customer premise equipment (CPE).Provide thought leadership on the product categories, including features and timing, and guide all aspects of product development and deployment. Engage with customers and customer-prospects in a consulting role to collaboratively define, explore and solve problems.

Portfolio management for xDSL, GPON/XGS-PON, 4G-LTE, 5G NR Sub-6 and mmWave CPE products. Manage/sustain existing businesses, including firmware roadmap feature development and prioritization. Conduct product feature, financial and other analysis to support business decision-making. Lead contract negotiations with partners and customers. Lead RFx for new business opportunities and once successful, work with internal and external stakeholders to deploy new products. Co-develop KPIs to assist customers with data mining deployed products and to guide analysis to focus troubleshooting.Key Accomplishments: during a global pandemic, (1) lead the development and launch of our first 2.5Gbps GPON HGU with Wi-Fi6 with a North American broadband service provider, and (2) lead the development and launch of our first 4G-LTE FWA gateway with a North American carrier.

Lead business development through customer engagement and RFx responses with prospective and existing customers to define new experiences related to telecom consumer premise equipment (set tops, xDSL/FTTH modems/gateways, etc). Develop business cases, including owning the P&L, and be the champion for product development, while promoting the voice of the customer. Maintain the product life cycle, cradle to grave.Work with internal R&D and external 3rd parties to develop new business opportunities. Prototype, evaluate and evangelize new products, both internally and with new customer prospects.Key Accomplishments: grew North American gateway business by $300M over 5 years; co-developed a Wi-Fi management solution for home gateways (4 Patents); co-developed a broadband delivery health metrics solution for home gateways (1 Patent).In Nov 2018 ARRIS announced it's sale to CommScope, which closed in April 2019.

Through working closely with customers and go to market teams, develop new opportunities in to business plans with requirements for new products, then lead the development team through implementation and deployment. Continue to manage the P&L and product life-cycle after launch, through product iterations and updates, until end-of-life, all while providing strategic guidance on customer and market trends.Key Accomplishments: launched the m25 and m500 mp3 players at retail (leveraging Motorola cell phone batteries), launched the HDT100 & HDT101 ATSC set top boxes at retail. Launched the (then Microsoft) Mediaroom IPTV client set top and DVR with AT&T/U-Verse). Lead the initiative and development of an embedded diagnostic self-test and health measurement software solution for set top boxes, MotoPLYR/PlayAssure (awarded two Patents).In Aug 2011 Motorola announced the sale of Motorola Mobility Holdings (Mobility + Home business units) to Google. The sale closed in 2012 and Google held the group as a subsidiary. In Dec 2012 Google announced the sale of Motorola Home to ARRIS. The sale closed in April 2013.

Key Accomplishments: lead the development of the DCP501 integrated cable set top box + audio/video receiver (with TRUE 5x100W audio amplification). Co-developed a video packet processing solution for time-sliced MPEG video (Patent).

Key Accomplishments: worked on technologies for advanced aircraft systems, leveraging commercial-off-the-shelf solutions for equipment normally adhering to MIL-spec, with substantial cost savings and increased performance.

Key Accomplishments: As a member of the Systems Integration and Test team, performed work leading to the first flight of the EH101, commercial variant. As a member of the Advanced Technologies team, was a key contributor to an advanced pilot warning system using data from multiple sensors to provide spatial awareness in compromised situations.
