As a solutions consultant I take on a variety of roles, primarily acting as the key technical pre-sales contact for customers by providing pre-sales and after-sales advice and consulting. Senior technical engineer for the Express Metrix tool set in EMEA. This includes pre and post sales support and implementation for all EMEA evaluators and customers. The role involves assisting with removing or significantly reducing software liability, maximising productivity and reducing costs for our customer base. I am involved with this SAM process to ensure that all customers got the best results for their organisation.My current day to day activities include technical pre-sales demonstrations, setting up and administrating POC’s for large evaluators, assisting my sales colleagues with the sales cycle and making sure the evaluators' technical questions and issues are all answered and resolved. I regularly train customers on the Express Metrix toolset and advise best practises on how to use the product to ultimately become compliant with all their software vendors. I also troubleshoot any problems or issues our customers may have, this includes Windows server and client issues, working with all windows operating systems 2000 and above (desktop and server).

At Dimension Data I worked in the Merchants division with the Junxion group. Junxion’s function is to assist end users in dial-up and mail support for numerous VISP’s (virtual internet service providers). My main purpose at Junxion was to support and assist these users telephonically in their problems regarding their dial-up, network, and mail connection on all MS windows platforms. On average there were 60 – 80 calls answered by each agent per shift/day. Junxion supports over 1000 users.

Comcorp Online is a real estate software company, dealing with real estate agents, mortgage originators, attorneys and banks within South Africa. Initially I was employed as the network administrator and was responsible for maintaining the company’s local area network and mail server. I soon got involved in administrating the company’s web server, which included administrating and developing the live SQL 2000 database, and became proficient in the SQL language. I was often required to do technical consultancy at customer sites, this included installing, and training customers on the software.
