Provided 2nd Line level technical network support to a wide range of major companies both in the UK and internationally. I am skilled in several LAN/WAN products and technologies including Cisco routers & switches, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN (Cisco vManage and Meraki), VPN, BGP, OSFP, etc.I provide technical support to field/network engineers for hardware issues as well as working from a fault management ticketing system (NGSD) where faults are passed from our 1st Line service desk and we diagnose, advise & resolve a wide range of networking issues/faults.

I spent 11 years as an IT Field Service Engineer for BT within their IT Services division. I started out as a Trainee engineer & gained experience by shadowing other engineers & attending company provided training courses. From 2013 I also joined the Out-of-Hours Engineering Team, providing 24/7 call-out support for customers across the county with network & server faults & outages. My main responsibilities within this role included:• Travelling to various customer sites across the UK, providing hardware break/fix & technical support to our customers.• Carrying out hardware diagnostics, repairs & installations on a wide range of IT equipment e.g., Cisco routers/switches/APs, HP/Dell servers, HP printers (ranging from small to MFP), and PC/laptops. • Software support for customer builds.• Mentoring the team’s apprentice which involved on the job training.• Keeping up to date with new technologies, vendor specific service qualifications and industry standard certifications.
