StrongBox Data Solutions purchased the product business from Crossroads Systems. My responsibilities include the continued design and development of new features for StrongBox Appliance and StrongBox VM. Also currently working with partners and other stakeholders to define and design a higher intelligence “software as storage” environment that includes the movement, transformation and protection of all digital assets.

I have many responsibilities that cover the entire organization. My major function is to ensure that the features delivered by Engineering conform to the architectural standards of the product and are in line with the product roadmap and the expectations of the stakeholders. I work with Product Marketing and Support to understand market position and refine customer requirements. I work with the CEO/CTO and other Architects to define product requirements specific to customer use cases. I assist product manufacturing when defining bills of material and manufacturing instructions. I work with all stakeholders to define the product roadmap. I assist development managers with release planning and resource load balancing. I engage with Engineers to provide technical guidance, assist in problem solving and review technical designs. Other duties include, source code management, build and integration, test plan review, root cause investigation for some system issues and feature development.

Senior Staff Engineer. Lead developer for corporate user interface team. Responsible for common UI architecture across multiple product promoting code reuse and consistent look and feel. Technologies include Ruby on Rails, JavaScript/AJAX, Mongrel/Apache, PostgreSQL, Subversion, HTML, CSS, Linux, VMWare, UML, Java Swing.

Development of database tools and utilities. Web applications using three tier architecture. Databases include Oracle, DB2 UDB and SQL Server. Full life cycle product development experience. Heavy usage of Java, Swing and JDBC.

Contributed to the design, development, installation and maintenance of several transportation management systems. Responsibilities included the design and implementation of all real time graphics, system data loading routines, system report generation and most user interface functions. Assisted in the development of the real time communication process.
