I consider myself a Producer and Manager who most excels at working across multiple disciplines. I have used these skills to manage all disciplines of themed entertainment design, offering work solutions that support and enhance the design process for the last 🔟 years. But I have had a very non-traditional path to get to where I am today!Having been raised on a family-owned horse farm in upstate New York, I competed internationally as an equestrian, including at the 2002 Junior Olympics. 🥈🐎I then went on to work as a pilot and flight instructor, including several years at a commercial airline. ✈️I have a strong sense of design stemming from a family full of art designers, directors, and theatrical producers. 🎭🎨These experiences have fostered a unique mix of procedure, collaboration, competition, and decision-making and discipline in me. As a result, I am a planning-minded and detail-oriented team leader.In 2011 I was diagnosed with a medical condition that, although it does not stop me from doing literally ANYTHING else, did not allow me to continue in my planned aviation career. 😥I switched gears and started my own themed entertainment design consulting firm with my spouse. 🎡Together we have worked hand-in-hand with a variety of respected LBE firms on many projects domestic and international with budgets ranging from 💲50k to 💲3.5Billion. Eventually, we were asked to join a larger firm and that is where we have both worked for the last several years. During that time I have traveled globally for Ride and scenic design inspections, lived in Doha, Qatar for 18 months for on-site installation supervision, and managed several large studio branded park designs.I have learned I love making design decisions based on real-world data and known calculations. Especially, for elements everyone forgets about. This has made me a go-to for park programming in our office.
