I was fortunate to spend a significant amount of my childhood living overseas. I was able to experience the hustle and bustle of city life in Hong Kong, the majesty of the Swiss Alps, and the serenity that can only be found in a pristine coral reef. Experiencing the variety and wealth this planet has to offer has driven me to want to preserve our natural world as much as we possibly can.I believe that education is crucial to not only solving our environmental problems, but also our societal and economic problems. A well-informed populace will make decisions based on science, data, and reality. I have worked previously as an educator in several different roles. I worked for the Syracuse Museum of Science and Technology teaching hands-on experiments in a local middle school. I was an outdoor adventure educator at Orenda Springs, teaching groups of students and professionals how to overcome challenges through teamwork, initiative, and problem solving. I provided industry leading service and education teaching skiing for the Aspen Ski Company.
