Leading the technical activity (design, build, test & integrate) across B-Secur's Algorithm Development Team. This covers a diverse and complex portfolio of research projects in the ECG / Healthcare / Consumer Devices space. Responsible for peer reviews of all algorithm technical deliverables and software, as well as coaching others, providing expert advice and company wide training on new technologies. This is alongside continuing to deliver new features as part of the B-Secur product road-map, as well as, contributing to academic publishing and conferences.

Taking a more leading role in the delivery of B-Secur's ECG technologies and software. Driving development of new ideas across several focus areas core to technology delivery including Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Physiological Monitoring and Intellectual Property (IP) capture. Supporting cross-business functions including validation and project management / delivery.

Working as part of a small, dynamic team developing innovative new software products in the ECG space. This includes biometric security, as well as, automatic wellness and medical monitoring applications.

Continuation of my role in the V2X Research Team now that the JLR Graduate Scheme has ended. This role continues to be highly varied, working on two large UK based consortium projects with other automotive OEMs, Tier 1 supplies and public bodies, as well as working on robust V2X vehicle feature delivery for future programmes.

Working as part of a small, dedicated V2X technology team, researching and designing next generation vehicle communications systems with close links to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Vehicle engineers. This includes work on 802.11p (DSRC), LTE / Cellular and LTE-Direct (3GPP Rel-14) ecosystems for car-to-car and car-to-infrastructure features. This work has also involved working on large consortium/collaboration projects, working directly with other automotive OEMs, universities and public bodies. As part of the JLR Graduate Scheme, rotations around the business allowed a large amount of on the job learning over 2 years with the completion of 4 separate secondments covering approximately one year. Key responsibilities and achievements:- Android Java application development including interfacing with vehicle networks (CAN) and cloud services to demonstrate proof of concept Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Cloud communications.- Knowledge of key V2X standards from ETSI, ISO and IEEE.- Involvement in UK Autodrive, a project between JLR, TMETC and Ford, as well as several other large organisations such as MIRA. Assisted with V2X feature development and testing, for track based demonstrations to UK media including the responsibility of overall control and coordination of the live track demonstrations. - Submission of patent applications.- Significant experience in scheduling and project management including extensive use of Oracle P6 Primavera working on the scheduling team for the construction of JLR’s new manufacturing facility in Slovakia. - Business improvement through development of relational database applications (SQL) replacing outdated power point presentations.- High quality report writing, as well as publishing experience.- Knowledge of principles of product quality, including 8D, fish-bone and six sigma methods for problem solving. This includes large scale data analysis using Microsoft Excel, R and Matlab.

Managed and ran a 12 week research project from idea conception to working prototype and full technical report as part of Jaguar Land Rover’s Peerless Effortless All Terrain (PEAT) team. This is an ongoing scheme which involves paid summer placements and return to university bursaries.

Work alongside the Jaguar Land Rover Electrical Quality team who are responsible for maintaining the high quality image of the company and their products. Electrical Quality is a sub-team who oversee operations of the Electrical Engineering department. This is an ongoing scheme which involves paid summer placements and return to university bursaries.

Work directly in a customer facing environment, maintain a clean and organized working area as well as exceeding customers’ expectations on a daily basis.Experience also gained in team leadership.

Performed multiple roles as work experience, as an introduction to working in a professional environment and as part of A-level curriculum. Completed an internship in the Quality Assurance team which introduced me to the company. Subsequently, created and maintained a software package which assists the Lagan support team with testing new releases as part of A-Level Computing.
