As a machine operator intern at the company, I got to operation three different machines in the workshop. They were CNC laser cutter for sheet metal, the CNC laser cutter for steel tubing from rectangle to circle, and welding robot. At the beginning, I got to work on the current chassis of the the buses. With every machine, there was a learning curve to operate it. However, the basic of design and drawing is almost the same on the two CNC machines. The process for the welding robot is different but very easy to learn after you got the basic down. Toward the end of my internship, I got to help design and test a new chassis for a new type of bus that the company is trying to make in the near future.

As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Tracomeco, in the beginning, I learned how to assemble the simplest part of the wiring harness, which connects multiple wires together to create a larger and more complex one. After finishing the first part of the training, I was moved into the team that was tasked to put together the main electronic components and control system of the bus. Some of my responsibilities were to support the troubleshooting of electrical components and to aid in installing and calibrating electrical systems during production. This hands-on internship allowed me to work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to real-world applications of electrical engineering in the automotive industry.
