Peace Ashenafi is a second-year ordinand in the Church of England and is completing her second undergraduate degree in Theology, Ministry, and Mission. Peace completed her first undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences, achieving first-class honours. Peace previously worked for Tearfund as a Peacebuilding Officer and Senior Enquiries Officer. Her role focused on shifting the narrative on national security and creating spaces to explore alternative methods to achieve security through advocacy, movement building and theology. Peace is passionate about leadership and governance. She is a safeguarding lead trustee at Peace Direct and previously served as a governor at Ark John Archer Primary School. In 2022, Peace attained an accredited Corporate Governance Certificate through the Associate of Corporate Governance Practitioners and The Governance Forum, which aims to equip young professionals who want to contribute to an organisation's leadership by becoming a board member.
