I have been fortunate to have lived and worked in Real Estate in London, Sydney and Bristol. I have spent 30 years in real estate working closely with a variety of private and public sector clients and always for multi disciplinary consultancy firms - with over 20 years for JLL.The first phase of my career gave me strong technical, negotiation and commercial skills through delivering construction and developments projects across the UK.I then went on to learnt so much more on the breadth and impact of our industry and the art of leadership from leading our fantastic South West and Wales offices with over 180 property professionals across 14 different specialisms.In the last few years I have continued in this path by leading our UK Regional business, working closely with my regional leads across the UK; and more recently I have taken on the leadership for our national and regional client programmes including our client and pursuits teams.These two roles, along with membership of our UK Board, provides me with a fantastic oversight of the markets, business, our clients; and the future trends and issues affecting real estate and our communities (regeneration, reuse/circular economy/embodied carbon, the power of proptech to transform and the need for our industry to be inclusive to all).
