Senior Consultant And Team Leader
Promoted to the role following successful management of a elements of the team. I am a senior consultant who leads the delivery of programmes and projects to a variety of clients and currently I directly manage a team of 11. In delivery to my clients I use a range of project management and analytical techniques to provide timely, evidence-based advice that enables clients to make successful business-critical decisions and changes. I have successfully employed techniques such as: research design, policy and strategy analysis, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, requirements elicitation, process mapping, options analysis, investment appraisals, supplier assessment, proposal assessment, software design and modelling, and data analysis. Between January 2016 and February 2017 I was the acting Business Stream Lead for the Solutions and Business Modelling team. I was responsible for performance and resource management of the team of 17 consultants, team strategy, business performance against budget and winning of new work. I was able to improve performance of the team, including it accessing new markets and I was able to bring in over £1m of new work. I have personally led numerous bids into new areas up to the value of £10m. Senior Consultant - Operational And Business Analysis
Promoted to role following successful delivery as a Consultant. I was responsible for the line management of a team of up to 5 consultants alongside leading the delivery of a range of business and operational analysis advice to my clients. I also served as an employee representative between June 2013 and January 2016.In delivery to my clients I led several well-received studies that analysed the policy and strategy of my clients and provided recommendations for improvements (many of which have since been enacted). I also led customer engagement for several high-profile infrastructure studies, conducting workshops to identify and validate requirements and options.Between August 2014 and August 2016 I led a £6m, three year research programme, with over 50 suppliers which delivered a range of advice to my clients. As lead for the programme I improved delivery through improved engagement with both the client and suppliers which was recognised in the KPI scores. I was commended for the design, organisation, running and presenting of technical conference for 50 suppliers and 20 customers. The conference provided delegates with insight into my clients transformation, sought innovation and use of best practice through chosen key note speakers and a range of workshops. Alongside delivery, I was the performance manager for 5 colleagues and was elected (twice) as the employee representative for my business. This included regular engagement with employees and directors. I served as chair of the employee group and led development and steering sessions to increase effectiveness in employee representation and engagement. Improvements included refined strategy development process and definition, and implementation of a new project governance process.
Business Analysis Consultant
A business analysis consultant who used his IT and business analysis skills to deliver a range of studies, tools and advice. This included leading delivery of a bespoke ASP.NET and SQL Server web-based database system, including overseeing it's development and testing; analysis into the cost implications of cyber attacks; and defining, analysing and modelling key UK infrastructure requirements. Transformation Lead - Asset Management
Promoted to the role following the highly successful in-sourcing, I led the transformation of the company-wide asset management system and processes. I led a team of 7 made up of maintenance experts and the facilities management help desk. I managed the day to day operation of the SAP Asset Management function, along with leading its development which included ensuring integration with other SAP modules used across the company. The transformation was challenging as users and stakeholders were spread across more than 30 sites and were required to work to both military and civilian standards. Key activities included:- I led company-wide workshops to empower employees to identify changes and provide approval for their implementation. The effectiveness of these workshops in enacting change and improving employee engagement was recognised as one of the top 5 internal projects of the year- I applied lean techniques and process analysis and development to improve operations. This was supplemented with data and financial analysis to ensure effectiveness of changes.- I developed a good understanding of SAP Asset Management through extensive self-learning and worked with third party supplier to improve system functionality and ease of use.- I moved all users onto a single system for the first time, this allowed me to develop dashboards and other management information tools to enable effective targeting of improvement activities.- I developed and delivered training to a range of users to improve use and utility of SAP through understanding how to use Management Information in the system.- I oversaw the help desk team including a number of customer focused improvement resulting in the team being recognised for the excellent customer service it provided.
Insourcing Project Manager - Facilites Management
I was promoted to project manage the successful in sourcing of the Facilities Management function. We successfully brought in over 300 staff who looked after more than 30 sites across the length and breadth of the UK. I managed the dependencies across six work streams and ensured project risks were effectively managed, mitigated, escalated and reported. I also led the data transfer work stream, ensuring all asset and maintenance data was transferred from IBM Maximo to SAP to enable the business to continue conducting essential maintenance and the help desk was able to operate effectively. The in-sourcing was recognised as a success across the organisation and was commended by the CEO.
