As a production manager at Paperplane, Pearly views the world as a playground of elements to orchestrate into eye-catching formations. Her resourceful personality rises to every occasion. Once, at an outdoor music festival, she designed a canopy using umbrellas; but, the wind threatened to undo her work. “I stepped back and studied how the umbrellas moved, and said: Okay, instead of going against the wind, let’s go with the wind!” She redesigned the structure accordingly and when the storm came, the installation took on a life of its own.
