I graduated with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Education Degree and Religious Certificate in Catholic Education from St Mary’s University College Belfast. My degree allows me to teach Early Years through to A-level (History and Politics and Religion to GCSE).My professional interests are based on pupils with Special Educational Needs. In particular, I am interested in the teaching and learning for pupils with Special Needs who attend Special Education Schools. As a practitioner, I enjoy engaging in reflective thoughts regarding the effectiveness of my pedagogy. I am willing to listen and act upon constructive feedback as I enjoy career improvement. As a Head of Sixth Form at a SEN school, I am interested in preparing for adulthood for people with learning disabilities. I’m a keen to empower young people and their families to be aspirational regarding: employment or meaningful occupation, good health, independent living and friendships relationships and the community.
