I’m a British-American dual citizen, based out of D.C & New York. Born and bred in Sheffield, England.Stockpiles of Marmite and a disdain for weak tea (looking at you Lipton) reminds me I’ll always be an Englishman at heart. That said, recurring and unpredictable bouts of optimism indicate I have become more American since moving here from London. Organised has become organized and colour is now color - much to the irritation of everyone back home.I fell into the information industry after university, progressing from Enterprise Sales and General Management into strategic partnership-related roles.Working at Moody’s, PitchBook and Bureau Dijk (BvD), I’ve been incredibly lucky to have had the chance to grow up around strong leadership, determined colleagues and loyal clients & partners in an industry that has gone through multiple revolutions and profound change.Day to day, I love a challenge. I have always been compelled to dig deep and wide to deliver the best results, whether that’s creating strategic alignment with the global development bank community or ensuring external tech partnership frameworks are structured appropriately and responsibly for growth.Divergent cultures and business priorities have taught me that while partnership constructs, whether local or global, are complex by nature, where there is genuine need and solid partner expertise, there is normally a route to market with a high value asset.Bottom line, partnerships are about creating positive and meaningful impact for the customer. Without that piece, even with executive sponsorship and the best will in the world, long term partnership success is unlikely.As part of my professional philosophy, I prioritize mission-oriented work and place significant emphasis on accountability, trust, and integrity. Recognizing not only the importance of trust, but a broader commitment to my own career development, I obtained a formal professional coaching qualification in 2012 Effective team management strikes me as the toughest and most rewarding work of all.
