Peek builds reservation management and business operations software for the experience and tourism industry, handling billions of dollars in bookings.My role was managing all engineering functions of the company: product development, devops, dataops, and IT. During my tenure we landed a Series C investment ($80M, lead by WestCap) and quadrupled the size of the engineering group to a peak of 70 people. I also led our security and compliance efforts for SOC 2 and PCI Tier 1.

I built and managed the iOS and Android development teams responsible for authentication, registration, and account management. We overhauled on-boarding and authentication, and shipped biometric, social, multi-factor, OTP, and invisible authentication mechanisms. We piloted many technical initiatives within ebay, including automated testing, code analysis, and modularization of monolithic code bases. Fun times!

Blue Hill Solutions provided technical consulting and development services for startups and web-oriented companies, as well as technical due diligence for startup investments and acquisitions.Clients included Chroma, Nutmeg, Chirpify, Little Bird, Threadalong, Janrain, Rumblefish, WebTrends, Zinofile, Collectability, the GoSeeTell Network, the Meyer Memorial Trust, Voyager Capital, and many others. We also collaborated with other firms on significant projects for National Geographic, NPR, Fox, Nike, Coke, Intel, Microsoft, State Farm, Red Bull and other national and international businesses.

Managed OMC's initial e-commerce project; I've also contracted with them on and off in the subsequent years to enhance the site, including integration with Froogle and Shopzilla services to increase sales 1600% in Q4 2005.

Helped build a web interface for a secure "network appliance," built prototypes for investors, provided technical marketing support, tested and developed security tools for Linux. Immunix has since been acquired by Novell.

Assistant Audio/Video Engineer, working with animation (stop motion and computer), advertising (M&Ms, Cyrix, 3 Musketeers, and Chili's -- the (in)famous "baby back ribs" ad), and television (The PJ's).

Testing and development of the Stackguard C compiler, resulting in a paper published at the 1998 USENIX Security Conference (see below).Prototyping and development of the SubDomain Linux kernel extensions, which eventually evolved into the AppArmor system used in most Linux distributions.

Built QA regression scripts to test a VHDL / Verilog validation suite, and made my first venture into dynamic web sites with Perl + CGI.
