Geoff Peate is the Head of English Language and Literature at the International School of Indiana (ISI), an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, where he leads instruction in Theory of Knowledge and Literature. As an Adjunct Professor at Purdue University Global, Geoff delivers graduate courses such as Diversity in Teams and Professional Global Communication, alongside undergraduate Composition courses. He brings learning strategies to life and fosters meaningful collaboration among students and colleagues.With over 25 years of international education experience, Geoff has made a significant impact across Argentina, India, Denmark, Canada, and the United States. His advanced academic credentials—including an MA in Leadership Studies, an MST in English, and an EdD in Educational Leadership—complement his experience in curriculum development, accreditation, and program evaluation within the IB and Advanced Placement (AP) frameworks. Geoff has a proven record of advancing student achievement and elevating teaching practices across multiple disciplines.Since relocating to Indianapolis in 2016, Geoff has actively contributed to his community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra (ICO), where he also chairs the Education Committee and participates as a member of the Executive Committee. His leadership extends to Parent Advisory Board at the Indiana University School of Medicine, and the Crooked Stick West Homeowners Association Board of Directors. His commitment to these organizations reflects his dedication to enhancing education and fostering inclusive communities.Geoff is particularly passionate about using literature to help students explore leadership, character, and self-reflection. Geoff’s expertise in youth leadership earned him speaking roles at the 2022 Association of Leadership Educators (ALE) Annual Conference in Kansas City, MO, and the ISACS Annual Conference in St. Paul, MN.Geoff continues to engage with the broader educational community. In November 2023, he was a featured panelist at Ball State University’s Banned Book Event, hosted at the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library in Indianapolis. Most recently, in August 2024, he served as a panelist at the Educators' Exchange at Purdue University Global, contributing his insights on the future of education.Outside of his professional work, Geoff is a devoted father of three. Together with his wife, they support his passion for music, trumpet playing, and various sports.
