Peau de Chagrin is a new London based house of limited edition luxury objects. Our collectibles have a focus on European craftsmanship and each piece is born from an intimate collaboration with master artisan and ethically designed to last generations. Our wares are produced in an edition of 100 and hand made with care to superlative standards.Peau de Chagrin is inspired by the novel of the same name by Honoré de Balzac, a Faustian tale of talent, decadence, debauchery, magic, the transformative nature of knowledge and a prophetic warning against materialism.Our object range thus far comprises of two gorgeous handbags and a silk scarf. One bag is in tan and one in black. Each tan is made by a single artisan in the Swiss Jura and the black at a small studio in Bordeaux. Our scarf is made by the traditional 'Impression à la Lyonnaise' method at an atelier in France, founded in 1890.
