I've been the Head of Development of a GTECH product called "Gaming Platform". My main role was to setup development Processes, Project Planning, and Team Staffing. Furthermore I was the responsible for interacting with Gtech Management.I created the team from scratch, personally selecting the developers and testers, outlining the proper development process, giving each of them a well-defined role. My care was also coordinate three international teams: Italian, Swedish and Ukrainian.GP is a client/server platform and framework, responsible for running games and game related services developed as plug-ins on top of the GP. The GP handles all base functionality such as communication, gaming transactions, scaling, logging, session-handling and common services used by any game (handling of unfinished games, detailed game history, etc.), thus letting the game developer focus on only defining game logic and presentation of the game.This product has been developed using Agile Methodology (KANBAN)Technology stack: OSGi, Akka, Camel, Datagrid, javaTools: Continuous Integration Server (Jenkins), JIRA for issue tracking, Confluence, SVN, HP Quality Manager

Furthermore I was the responsible for interacting with Gtech Management.This product, is a simple, yet comprehensive integration and administrative system that strengthens a gaming operator’s business agility and builds the technical base for the fluid operation of an online gaming platform. It makes the most complex of gaming operations easy to manage from a single desktop. A user-friendly interface, intuitive navigation and logical structure give operator a never-before-seen view of the entire gaming operation and its players. This product provides a broad range of report formats. Fixed reports cater for the most commonly required information, while a simple-to-use wizard allows operator to create specialized custom reports. It gives operator everything needed to gain an in-depth insight into his players, including allowing him to track marketing campaigns to maximize his return on investment. Proposed, through a PoC, a Web Oriented Architecture based on Oracle Technologies that added Enterprise 2.0 (wiki, forum, blogs, feedback) functionalities to their Portal platforms. This work has helped to win a deal for € 2 million licenses. • One of the most important italian-based media company wanted to improve their Portal platform to allow hot deployments of their new business services. Proposed a new architecture, based on the latest Oracle Portal platform technologies (Oracle Webcenter). This work has helped to win a deal for € 600K licenses. • A strategic italian airline wanted to create a "social community" among its employees. Proposed, through a PoC, an architecture based on Oracle technologies that added Enterprise 2.0 (wiki, forum, blogs, feedback) services to their Portal platforms. This work has helped to win a deal for € 300K licenses. • Sharing expertise: Maintaining a blog about Web Oriented Architecture and Enterprise 2.0, in which shared presentations made by himself are seen by thousands of users around the world (see the Accounts section of this resume). • Marketing: Speaker of major marketing events dedicated to new trends introduced by the Enterprise 2.0

Worked at TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile) to support and develop, in testing and production environments, Oracle Wireless product (former Portal To Go) used to deliver WAP and SMS channels. In order to give the best support to this strategic customer, I collaborate with some Oracle colleagues of EMEA and US part. In that time, I developed a part of wireless product (wap-push) for Oracle development (US).Worked at Minister of Agricultural and Forestry Policies to support and administer, in production environment, OracleAS in a very complex cluster: more than 75 J2EE applications deployed in 16 nodes. I supported the development team in order to tune the j2ee stack, and developed a monitoring software (using perl) used for 3 years.Designed and developed an internet portal based on J2EE technology for IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) in order to monitor the state of the world's species through the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
