Perform and develop statistical models / analyses across Commercial portfolio of business.Development of segment plans and targets to support financial planning.Provide support to core projects within the analytics arena. Commercial Insight and Analysis: Conduct commercial analysis into all aspects of Claims performance across lines of business and classes, distribution channels and product performance. Inform segment economics through analysis of both cost or drivers of cost and inflation.Reporting: Support analytics managers to deliver regular suite of MI reports showing performance vs. expected. Analysis of key trends, issues and opportunities, with commentary on results and set of recommended action plans to improve performance.Planning and Targeting: Develop the framework for the Technical function plans. Ensure trends are forecasted to assess current / potential impacts. Business Modelling: Modelling to inform current and potential performance, saving initiatives and frame opportunities, build business cases and support decision making.Data Capabilities and Management: Enhancing data access and interpretation capabilities working in partnership with other areas – Operations, Finance, Reserving, UW / Pricing, Sales & Marketing and/or Customer Insight and third parties.

Provide specialist services and support by:• Using pricing models to analyse and implement price changes• Developing pricing and analysis tools for the development of new prices.• Developing tools for the identification and resolution of data integrity problems.• Designing pricing management processes, and co-ordinate the implementation of such processes throughout the company.• Analysing the price position of Contact Energy relative to competitors.• Developing tools to improve Contact’s pricing processes.• Developing other such tools on an ad hoc basis to resolve issues as they arise.• Providing analytical services to other parts of the business, such as Marketing, as required.• Liaising with network companies regarding pricing-related issuesEnsure effective business management by:• Contributing to development and implementation of the business plan for your team• Managing the resources of Contact effectively• Achieve target profitability in ways consistent with agreed strategies and business objectives• Proactively developing and implementing quality improvements to systems and practices• Ensuring all activities meet commercial and legal requirements• Maintaining high quality documentation and providing accurate and timely reports to the team and your managerFacilitate positive customer and external relations by:• Building effective networks and working relationships with customers and key external organisations and agencies• Identifying and developing strategic linkages and partnerships that enhance the business• Representing Contact at external forum, presenting a professional and positive image of the company• Ensuring service delivery exceeds customer expectations
