I'm currently serving as a Senior Area Director for Northlake Young Life (Lake Washington, Redmond, Juanita, and Cedarcrest Communities) alongside a team of three staff and 23 volunteers. In a year where everyone is redefining their metrics and strategies, we are doing the same, and yet our volunteer leadership base is remaining focused on what they/we do best: relationships. In the last year, we have learned to become effective at focused and impactful relational work. Tutoring. Mentoring. Discipling. Serving. Caring. Supporting. It's my role to guide this work, make connections, cast a vision, and ensure that we walk with great wisdom, care, and humility in efforts to create an increasingly equitable organization that creates space for the story and experience of every kid.
