Main responsibility was bringing an innovative tower for wind turbines to market. As the only wind energy expert in the group the tasks we multifold and included everything from market strategy, sales strategy, customer relations, engineering problem solving and upper management communications on a daily basis. Although successful in both product development and supply agreement negotiations with turbine OEM’s Valmont ultimately decided not to pursue the wind energy market.

Senior Sales Engineer in the Structuring Department of GE Wind Energy, where I applied technical, sales knowledge and policies in direct support to customers and our engineering team. During this time I helped to secure over $300 Million of direct sales of wind turbines and an additional $50 Million of turbine support sales. During my almost 8 years in this organization (former Zond Energy Systems) I arranged and participated in all national and international wind energy trade fairs. 1998: Worked in the Production Planning and Inventory Control department of Zond Energy Systems, with responsibility of scheduling blade manufacturing, including transportation of the finished blades from facilities in Texas, Ontario Canada and Sao Paolo Brazil, to Zond’s wind power plants in the US. 1997: Worked in the Business Development Department of Zond, collecting and arranging competitor information for use by management. Prior to this position I worked on the shop floor, assembling wind turbines. During this time I also performed field service, maintenance and troubleshooting on Zond’s V-27 wind turbines.
