A+Architecture is a young and dynamic architecture practice set up by Camille Bonneau and Pedro Clarke which is based between Lisbon and London. Combined, we have over 15 years experience working with both public and private sector clients on projects that range from residential, refurbishment, hotels, cultural and community, infrastructure led-projects, education, to public realm and commercial developments. Our ambition is to create inspiring spaces which are loved by the people that use them and where aesthetic quality is combined with economical, functional and sustainable solutions.

in loco was created by Pedro Clarke and Luca Astorri as a methodology that applies the learning by doing approach to empower young professionals in the built environment, and give them the opportunity to gain invaluable experience through a design and build hands-one approach to architecture.

Portugal

Between 2012 and 2015 Pedro was the Copy-Editor for the English version of the Jornal dos Arquitectos (The Architects's Journal) in Portugal.

Project Architect responsible for the design of several Education and Residential Projects, amongst which:Moulton College Student ResidencesResponsible for the design and construction of a new residences scheme for Moulton College, comprising 152 student bedroom, 4 warden’s flats and supporting welfare facilities.Add-Action OfficesDeveloped proposals for refurbishment and fit-out of Add-Actions’s London offices in Farringdon.Feltwell Elementary School- RAF FeltwellLead the design and preparation of Planning Application and Tender Documentation for a new build Elementary School for the DoDEA US Military Schools on RAF Feltwell.Burnham Grammar School ExtensionResponsible for the design and coordination with other consultants of the project for a three storey infill extension to Burnham Grammar School.Moulton College Athletics CentreResponsible for the design and submission of the planning application for a new-build athletics track and pavilion for Moulton College.

Architect involved in several Feasibility studies, concept design, design development and preparation of tender documents for Education, Residential and Healthcare projects.New Eldon Building- University of PortsmouthArchitect part of the small team responsible for the design development and preparation of Tender documentation for the New Eldon Building, which will complete one of the University’s Campus and house the University’s Creative Industries Programs. Main responsibilities included coordination with other consultants and detailing of external envelope.Phase II of Kick 4 Life’s centre in Lesotho, Southern AfricaProject Architect for a pilot project for P+P’s corporate social responsibility policy. Kick 4 Life is UK/Lesotho registered charity delivering a health curriculum through sport. The project was developed in partnership with local consultants.Stantonbury Campus- Milton KeynesArchitect involved in Feasibility studies and initial Stage C design for the refurbishment and new build of a School in Milton Keynes.International Schools- QatarParticipated in the competition for the new school for the Doha College, and worked on the master planning and design of two new schools for the Qatar Academies- Qatar Foundation.ColArt RedevelopmentAssisted in the preparation of a Planning application for the regeneration of the existing ColArt Factory into a new residential scheme including single family homes and apartment buildings.

Returned to Lesotho to set up Sentebale’s Capital Projects Design and Sustainability Department. Sentebale is a charity established by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso to care for the vulnerable children of Lesotho. As Capital Projects Director, working with Camille Bonneau, was responsible for the design and development of the charity’s Capital Projects, amongst them:Phase II of the Thuso Centre, Butha-ButhaSketch Design, Design Development and preparation of Tender documentation for a new Specialist facility, for national referral of children with special needs.Mamohato Camps, Thaba-BosiuSketch Design for Africa’s first Hole in The Wall Camps. This camp will cater for children learning to live with HIV-Aids.JTC- Juvenile Training Centre, MaseruVery low budget refurbishment project done in collaboration with labour from the Lesotho Correctional Services.Sentebale’s New Offices and Leadership Development Centre in MaseruSketch design and fundraising bid for the charity’s new permanent offices in Lesotho.Maliphofu School, Thaba-TsekaDesign and construction of a prototype school classroom at Maliphofu, a village in the remote mountainous region of Thaba-Tseka.
