My role is to ensure application and server security by applying corporate policies and coordinating the fixes of the reported vulnerabilities. I am the liason with the Global Security teams, the application owners and the infrastructure teams to ensure that we meet the targets on resolution time. On this role we are supported by a variety of IT security prevention and detection tools, like Symantec Endpoint Protection, Carbon Black, Qualys Compliance & Vulnerability detection tools, Cisco ISE or Symantec Data Loss Prevention.

Managed several application implementation projects:- 2019: Project to split SABIC Specialties unit, preparing a copy of the non-ERP business applications (over 50).- 2018: ISO27001 Re-Certification, Laboratory systems upgrade- 2017: ISO27001 Certification, Oracle database consolidation

SABIC has started a project to onboard their Innovative Plastics division into their central SAP.On this project my role is to coordinate all IT activities on Innovative Plastics to ensure that SAP is properly integrated with external third parties and the remaining applications. My scope also includes any changes that have to be done on our legacy systems to enable the integration with SAP.This includes project planning, managing resources and communicating with the several parties that have a role in this project: the business owners, the external consultants, our internal SAP experts and our IT departments.

Led the Process Manufacturing IT team of 4 people for the rollout of SAP at the Innovative Plastics unit during the year of Project Preparation and Business Blueprint phases.Responsible for the phased migration strategy for moving from the existing environment to SAP, identifying transition steps and the data, application and interface requirements for each of those phases.As Functional Architect prepared official position papers advising on the strategy to follow for a variety of SAP migration related subjects, like EDI communication with 3rd party logistics providers, SAP solution for Sales & Operation Planning, replacement of legacy procurement systems or cloud adoption.

Oracle Process Manufacturing Consultant, GE Plastics Cartagena, 2001 – 2010• Led 2 Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) implementations, for the Cartagena LX and the Compounding plants.• Implemented inventory, quality & formulation, process execution, order fulfillment, MAC & GL modules; interfaced OPM to many external systems.• Led OPM Support team for 2 manufacturing plants in a single instance, managing a team of 4 people (1 on-site, 3 off-shore).• Led project team to improve finance controllership by improving existing processes and systems and leveraging use of OPM.• Digitized the plant maintenance process, installing the asset management system and implementing an electronic document management system (Indus EMPAC & Curator).IT Consultant, GE Plastics Cartagena, 1996-2000• Led GEMMS 3.2 implementation for GE Plastics Grangemouth (UK) plant, providing integration with the rest of business systems.• Led the GEMMS support and development team, supporting 8 GEMMS instances in UK, Netherlands, Spain, Italy and France, managing a team of 8 people.• Performed Unix and Oracle administration for manufacturing systems, most of them business critical, ensuring 100% system availability 24x7.
