I started my research career in 2001 in risk assessment and environmental modelling, while developing teaching activities in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems. During this time, I had the opportunity to work at the Earth Physics department in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Washington, improving my skills in remote sensing techniques, that also led to the development of a variety of projects with the European Space Agency that continues until today. After 2007 Climate Change Resilience and Risks became my focus by developing products and research for sectors like the insurance and energy, which gave me the opportunity to work with both private and government institutions. To fill the gap between science and society I co-founded 2adapt in 2017, which is responsible for the development of key technological products align with the Sendai Framework for disaster risk reduction, the Paris Agreement, and the Sustainable Development Goals.

The work was developed in the Terrestrial Physics Lab and supervised by Dr. Compton J. Tucker.
