In the first year I took the opportunity to be the Regional Manager in the South of Brazil, based in Porto Alegre – Rio Grande do Sul. The challenge we took, were to increase sales of the original Windows considering the Piracy market had more than 90% of share (in every 10 Windows installed in PCs in Brazil, 9 were pirate). After creating awareness in consumers and a strong channel program that aligned the whole PC industry, in late 2006 we were able to get the southern region as with best growth result among all regions. We could achieve more than 40% of PCs sold with the original Windows installed, generating big recognition inside the company. -
Product ManagerIntel Corporation Jun 2000 - Mar 2004São Paulo E Região, BrasilIn the year 2000 I was invited to work at Intel, in a new project targeting the networking segment in Brazil. I was responsible, as product manager, for introducing to market new network product line, including several Internet appliances, with Intel Brand, what was a breakthrough in the company's strategy. In two years of the project we reached the second place, competing with traditional companies in this market, like CISCO.In 2002, after the company's exit from networking segment, I was transferred to commercial team to work with processors, motherboards and servers. Our challenge was to consolidate Intel’s lead as the main option for domestic PC ingredient sales, leading the whole industries in the country to expand the overall PC consumption. A key movement was the influence to a new tax incentive provided by the Brazilian government. The other major initiative was the restructuring of the Intel Channel Program, including the Intel Channel Conference, the biggest and most complex channel initiatives in the market at that time, with the goal to develop a solid relationship with thousand of resellers and integrators at the domestic PC industry. -

At the time, Attachmate had only six employees in Brazil. I was a Business Manager responsible for the distribution and VARs (value added resellers) channel. In 1999 we closed the two biggest sales deals for the company in Latin America, being one with Banco Bradesco (private largest bank in Brazil) with 5,000 units of the product called Extra 3270-PC emulation program with approximately $ 2.5 Million dollars and the other was at a BID with SERPRO (the federal service for Data Processing - a public company under the Ministry of Finance) with over 8000 units and more than $ 4 Million dollars in revenue at that time.
