With the supervision of Dr. Pedro Lind, Dr. Frank Raischel and Prof. Isabel Simão, I am developing some theoretical and computational work intended to check the validity of the rating processes published by Moody’s and Standard and Poor’s. We employ mathematical methods that evaluate if a given rating process reflects the changes in a time-continuous economy, or in contrast if it is not defined at all times and thus inexplicable solely based on economic (or financial) variables.This has been an important experience for me, as it gave me experience in working and communicating consistently in a group with a hierarchical structure.
