After a successful hedging operation within an African country, I was invited to be the CFO of BRF's African market, with a ~$200MM p.a. turnover. There, I managed a team of four, responsible for the weekly P&L analysis, accounting/booking procedures, analysis of tax impacts, pricing system, and credit assessment for a region of 37 countries.Highlights:• Collaborated with the marketing team to develop multiple innovative products• Hedged currencies in countries like Angola and Egypt, preventing a 27% FX devaluation• Built a pricing system to monitor all pricing deviations in liaison with the sales department; system blocked sales with prices below policy and allowed for sound price increases• Managed the credit assessments for sales in the African market; client profile and payment terms systematically analyzed through risk assessment before starting their purchases
