From basic HTML skills or teaching how the hardware of a computer works to Algorithmic Complexity, I enjoy creating and facilitating engaging and empowering learning experiences. I believe technology is the perfect setting to embrace the learn by doing methodology. As a psychologist I have experience in identifying how the right tools and strategies can help the students to also develop as individuals.

I work with businesses to help them develop or asses their digital strategies so they spend their resources in a knowledgeable way. From assessing and building the right digital team, to auditing and profiling a specific application or process, everything needs to understand the human side of the story as well as the technological one.

Via Codigo is a social initiative whose objective is to provide youth from under-resourced and socially disadvantaged circumstances with the opportunity to become web developers. Our first program takes place in the juvenile detention facility in Lima, where we are working with 12 young offenders to help them restore their connection with society though coding and personal development.Since it's beginning I have been in charge of managing the different aspects of a new social initiative.I always have an active role in the hiring process, since I believe the first employees will set the values for the team and project.As a psychotherapist and developer I also took an active role supervising the Diagnosis Study and the Pilot Project that came from it.As CEO I am in charge of leading the relationships with other institutions (here and abroad), finding new allies and coordinating with external teams (such as PR and Media agencies).I am also an active member in the Non Profit's Collective inside the CJDRL where we are creating the tools and processes to share relevant information and experiences between institutions.I love being an ambassador for the initiative, and am in charge of presenting it to different forums.

I currently work as a teenagers and adult humanistic psychotherapist. I focus on generating a self learning space where the people I work with, can set up their own therapy goals and face the life situations that brought them to therapy. I believe teenagers therapy should always involve the parents, and work with them so they can develop a healthy way to properly communicate with their children.

As the Chief of Product I was in charge of developing, assessing the quality and generating the tools for the facilitators and participants. Tested and validated the training paths, selected the teaching personnel and developed the developer profile diagnostics tools. I also defined the Roadmap for the first iteration of the LMS system. I helped Talently discover the required skills to train to acquire market fit.

We founded Athelas with two goals, to get better by doing interesting and challenging projects, to find akin developers who want to add a human side to development projects. Our goal was to educate our clients, and fight the feeling surrounding the market that affordable developers didn't meet expectations.Athelas grew from 2 employees (we the founders ) to 14, where we learned the value of polishing our operations processes. Testing it through it's stages, translating the user and client idas to valid and tested Design/UX/Development/SEO constructs that would help it reach it's potential.Some people call it Product Engineering, for me it was as being part of the company we were working for.By 2017, we were providing services for some of the largest companies in the country and Latin America.I moved to Vía Código because I felt it needed my full participation to grow.

When I moved back to Perú, I was asked by chance to work on some web development projects. Since I had spare time, and saw there was a need for committed developers, I decided to start offering my skills to develop basic CMS driven websites. It quickly took me to larger and larger projects, working with Webs and Web Applications based on Drupal, WordPress, PHP, Python and JavaScript.Before founding Athelas, I joined my future co-founder to create a small freelancer collective where we helped some friends become web developers.

I was invited to become a partner on Anankhe since it's conception. Marga de la Torre (our Lead Founder) wanted to create a versatile team of humanistic/gestalt therapists that would help her vision come to life.I worked as a humanistic psychotherapist for kids, teenagers, adults, parents and couples. I explored how to update some psychotherapy techniques to include some technology (this was when smartphones were starting to become a thing).I was also part of the personality and cognitive skills assessment team for Anankhe, being in charge of the assessments and reports.I worked with tools such as the WAIS, WISC, Rorschach, Millon, Düss, Machover, etc.I was as well in charge of all the communications/technological aspects of the Center. Some of this tasks were:* Working with the design agency* Securing our patients digital information* Developing the website* Administrating the digital environments (forum, emails, website, events calendar)

I joined Ceyser to become a first level support for our employees. I was a computer aficionado that knew his way around windows systems and had build a few PCs and set up a few LAN for friends and family.There I learned to value my skills, and got in contact with Linux. Linux made me realise there was a whole world where you could feel yourself talking to the computers, and I became a sysadmin.I stayed in Ceyser until the economical crisis hit the country and we were given the chance to stay for a smaller salary working for another company.Ceyser gave me the chance to prove myself and was the stepping stone to my career as a developer.
