In this position, I am responsible for managing the execution of technological innovation projects focused on implementing an Industry 4.0 culture in factories. Together with the coordenation side, I am currently the main developer of the projects. Among the projects currently under my supervision, there are production digitalization projects for Campari Group and production virtualization projects supported by artificial intelligence in Envases Group. The projects previously mentioned aggregate skills in industrial automation, Internet of Things, web/mobile development using a mixed approach of conventional development technologies and newer ones, like Low-Code development. The projects seek to implement an innovation culture in companies through cutting-edge technologies which can impact their metrics in a more efficient and less expensive manner, turning their manual proccesses and systems into great information and control digital systems.

In this position, I have made part of the team of professors in the Unit centre of education, teaching lectures in Mechatronics Engineering and Computer Science. I was responsible for conducting around 30 different courses in the areas of mechanics, electronics, industrial automation and computing. Beyond teaching in all of these fields, I was the tutor for dozens of course-ending projects in mechatronics engineering. I was also a lecturer in research and development weeks, covering the areas of artificial intelligence applied to industrial automation and how to work with PLCs (Programmable Logical Controller). I worked also as reasearch tutor, having conducted works with my students in the area of brain tummor detection through tomografic images. Last but not least, I was the leader for the first ever research group in artificial intelligence in Unit centre of education, where I managed to lead a group of 5 students, from mechatronics engineering and computer science areas, on related topics of intelligent computing.

In this position, I was responsible for developing integration projects of automation systems for the industry. I was the leader and main developer for the product called MKMetrics offered by Mekatronik. This was a tool capable of automatically collecting production data through PLCs and presenting enhanced dashboards with aggregated production information for supervisors in companies such as Akzo Nobel, an ink-manufacturing company. Beyond this, I worked providing technical assistance in many automation projects overall for big companies in the state, such as Alcoa (Aluminum company), Vitarella (food company), Baterias Moura (batteries company) and others.
