Ever since I can remember, I have been extremely passionate about aeroplanes. As a kid, my dream was to be a pilot. However, as I grew up and discovered my love for physics and technology, my goal slowly shifted from actually flying the aeroplanes to being in the backstage, working on getting those aeroplanes on the air. This motivation drove me to Lisbon, 300km away from my hometown, to start studying Aerospace Engineering. I am currently doing my Masters in Avionics, specialising in Control Systems and Machine Learning.I am an avid learner. For example, I only started coding at university. I did not even know that I was interested in it until then. However, once I got the taste of it, I tore through books to learn more languages and to deepen my understanding of each one of them. The more I know, the more I realise that there is so much I have yet to learn, and this really excites me! And that brought me to the world of Data Science and Machine Learning which, whilst not having much in common with my Masters, fascinate me profoundly.I also possess the qualities of a true team worker. I am the captain of my volleyball team and have been in multiple team projects during voluntary work activities, some of them in a Leadership position.
