Pedro L. Merchán Leandro Email and Phone Number
Attracted by science and technology since my childhood, I oriented my education towards these fields and hold a grade in Industrial Electronic Systems Engineering.I have dedicated 16 years of my career to Machinery Monitoring Solutions for the companies General Electric (Bently Nevada) and Emerson, as a technologist and project systems engineer. On these assignments, I worked directly with customers of the Oil and Gas, Power Generation and Military Marine business segments, including both end users and their EPC, MAC and shipbuilding partners. My expertise with monitoring, predictive maintenance (PdM) and Reliability oriented technologies encloses vibration, ultrasound, oil analytics, electric signature and specific techniques for reciprocating engines and compressors.Later in 2020 I shifted my career towards Process Control technology, with Emerson's DCS DeltaV, working mainly for greenfield and migration projects for the Pharmaceutical industry. Regarding technical regulations and standards, I feel comfortable with ATEX (either IECEx or NEC standards), Functional Safety (SIL), GMP computer systems validation and the Low Voltage and EMC directives of the European Union. I hold multidisciplinary engineering knowledge, including in addition to electronics, electrical, mechanical, telecom and manufacturing. My personal values are integrity, long-term professional relations, customer focus, team play, hard work and joy for what I do.
