Summer Intern
In a team from my college I've worked in a project competition promoted by IXL Center. On this competition we were accompanied, oriented and trained by IXL consultants. We also received preparation and training for obtaining the consulting in innovation certificates levels 1 and 2.This competition is international, involving teams from all over the world, Asia, Europe, North and South Americas. We had to develop a project of an innovation district in Barranquilla, Colombia. To develop our project we did several researches and interviews with CEOs, managers, public authorities and local persons of interest, who knew the problems that had to be solved. As a result of our research we could define the focus of the district in our project, innovation in generating and distributing energy, which was the biggest bottleneck of the region. My financial knowledge were applied bringing data and financial demonstrations to our project and its possible impact.Being considered the most robust and complete by IXL consultants and the Barranquilla government, our project won the competition and was the chosen one to be followed by the government in the implemetation of his innovation district.
Consultant
In UCJ I had the first opportunity to put in practice what I was learning in class.I've entered as a trainee, was a phase were I received training in diverse areas, like excel, financial and project management. After the trainee course I've entered as a consultant. I had the opportunity to work in Henrique Miura's project from the beginning and finish it. We did it in two phases, the first one was a market evaluation and the second was a economic and financial viability study.-First phase:For the market evaluation we developed a research in the occupational medicine market in Belo Horizonte, we were looking into sizing this market, study the others players and the fragmentation level at the market. Beyond that we gathered relevant data for our next step, which was the viability analysis.-Second phase:At the economic and financial viability study, I could bring financial knowledge for our project, So we did this study simulating many scenarios, variations in the rates and project a cash flow for our client. From that we could measure the investment, the present value, payback and internal return rate for our client. The project was realized and delivered to our client with success, with a positive feedback from him.
