O preço dessa segunda chance foi a amputação dos meus braços e pernas.Depois de seis meses internado e um período em cadeira de rodas, encontrei uma nova forma de encarar minha condição em um centro de recuperação em Oklahoma, onde veteranos de guerra, também amputados, estavam se reabilitando. Foi lá que comecei a ver minha jornada de outra maneira.Passo a passo, enfrentei os desafios e me adaptei às próteses. A convivência com outros amputados e o desejo de transformar essa experiência em algo maior me impulsionaram a criar a Da Vinci Clinic, uma clínica especializada em próteses para casos desafiadores. Hoje, essa iniciativa é uma referência na América Latina.Minha história se espalhou pelo mundo, e, desde então, tenho sido convidado a compartilhar essa trajetória em eventos e também escrevi o livro “Superar é Viver”, onde divido um pouco mais dessa caminhada.
