After 10 years at Sony I decided it was time to leave my comfort zone and embrace uncertainty! I began a sabbatical with the personal motto to be open, get curious and experiment. My dad was retiring, so I spent some time in Portugal to and help kick off some family projects. I travelled for a few months, checking off several items from my bucket list: following Portugal around in France during EURO2016, hiking in Iceland, volunteering at the Olympics in Rio and watching F1 in Monza. I invested time to educate myself and get a feel for the latest trends, volunteering at conferences like MindTheProduct and RSA, attending multiple startup pitch and funding events, reading books and doing several online course certifications, including IoT, Data Science and Storytelling.

Strengthened multiple strategic partnerships such as Netflix, Crackle, Sony ‎Entertainment Network, Kobo and The Weather Channel. Appointed to lead highly sensitive negotiations with Kobo, Gracenote and Spotify.

Planned and executed international launch of groundbreaking PlayStation phone. Achieved HW/SW developmental ‎milestones by directing cross-functional, remote teams. Established objectives for HW/SW ‎release to fulfill productivity, return rate, and cost objectives, while ensuring on-time delivery.‎ Resolved critical issues with rapid decision-making and creative thinking skills.‎
