Portuguese Franchise Association: A non-profit trade association, with responsibility for organizing twice-yearly franchise shows in Lisbon and Porto. Important purposes include assisting Portuguese franchisors who want to expand internationally and, conversely to assist international franchisors who want to establish a presence in Portugal.

As part of this non-profit trade association, my responsibilities include assisting Spanish corporations who wish to expand their markets and sales in Portugal, and assisting Portuguese corporations who wish to expand sales in Spain. This is accomplished by facilitating meetings with decision-makers in both countries and by organizing trade missions and special group luncheons with government officials as keynote speakers. My responsibilities also include oversight of the IT department as part of the IT committee.The association also operates an arbitration court as a dispute resolution forum.

Non-profit trade association made up of 90% of the Fitness Clubs in Portugal, working with the media and the legislators and other government officials to advance the interests of the fitness industry. Work with the association led to my representing Portugal as an expert as part of the European Committee for Standardization. The committee has developed European Standards for fitness clubs and is developing the European Guidelines for the safe operation of fitness centers during an infectious outbreak. The European Standards are being adopted by other countries for safe practices.

This is a European non-profit trade association with responsibility for building and expanding awareness of the health benefits of regular physical activity and the cost and consequences of inactivity. The organization promotes networking and facilitating partnerships among the fitness sector, academia, government officials and the private sector, in order to identify common challenges and opportunities.This contributes to the development of products and services that ensure a favorable environment for each individual to develop skills, confidence and a healthy balance of body and mind. The over-all purpose is to ensure that high quality standards are set in the fitness, physical activity and well-being sectors, allowing citizens to enjoy safe and effective exercise.

As an entrepreneur, I created and managed Vodafone 1514 Beach Report "Infopraias" for beach goers and surfers to access the weather and wave conditions at all of the major beaches in Portugal. My additional responsibilities included supervision of the software development and updates as well as the hardware purchases. Further, my responsibilities also included the selection, hiring, and supervision of the on-site reporters of beach conditions, as well as all negotiations and contracts with Vodafone.

. My responsibilities for this Spanish leader GLASS & GLAZING contractor for commercial building operations in Portugal included contract negotiations, sales, personal on-sight and management of construction operations, finances and human resources.

My responsibilities included organizing international expeditions, developing complex naval engineering calculations as well as personally leading naval underwater engineering operations. Additional responsibilities included liaison with Spanish and Italian media on behalf of this government agency.

With respect to marine lubes for an international fleet, my responsibilities included sales, budgeting, pricing, delivery logistics, internal purchasing, inventory control and accounting, as well as construction of storage facilities at the harbors.

I served as the representative of the Azores Islands government, functioning as a shipbuilding surveyor, coordinator and superintendent of the Azores Islands. In addition, I served as the Coordinator & Surveyor of Jet Fuel Vertical Tanks & Pipelines at the Faro Airport for British Petroleum.

My responsibilities included preparation of preliminary ship design projects for commercial ship building. To achieve this, I supervised three ship-building technical designers at Setenave Shipyard, Setubal, Portugal.
