A core focus is monitoring and responding to new legislative developments that impact our business, advocating for frameworks that enable sustainable growth.By fostering open and constructive dialogues, I ensure that EDP’s stakeholder strategy not only meets corporate goals but also strengthens our relationships within the communities we serve, promoting shared value and supporting the region’s transition toward a low-carbon economy.

ABEEólica is Brazil’s leading association for the wind energy sector, committed to expanding renewable energy’s contribution to the national grid and advancing policies that foster a sustainable energy landscape. As a Board Member, I play an active role in shaping the strategic and regulatory directions that support wind energy growth across Brazil.My work spans multiple focus areas critical to the sector’s development: addressing energy curtailment to ensure reliable grid integration, promoting financial frameworks that make wind projects more accessible, and advocating for a stronger, more resilient supply chain. I also engage in discussions on subsidy policies to assess their impact on the broader economy and contribute ideas for stimulating energy demand to unlock new project opportunities. By representing ABEEólica in these discussions, I help shape a supportive environment for wind energy’s expansion, positioning it as an essential pillar of Brazil’s energy future.

EDP Renewables is a leading global company in the renewable energy sector, focused on the development, construction, and operation of utility-scale wind and solar projects. As Head of Regulation for its Brazil operations, I was responsible for advancing regulatory strategies that align with EDP’s mission to expand clean energy across the region.My role involved engaging with government bodies and industry stakeholders to shape policies that support renewable growth. A key achievement was securing an import tax exemption for contracted wind turbines amid an unexpected tax hike, an effort that required agile negotiation and collaboration with government officials to protect project viability.Additionally, I led discussions on renewable regulations, grid interconnection, and other policies essential to sector growth, positioning EDP Renewables as an influential voice in Brazil’s renewable energy landscape.

Sindinergia-RS is a renewable energy industry union in Rio Grande do Sul, dedicated to advancing policy and infrastructure for sustainable energy growth. As Technical Director, I lead regulatory advocacy and infrastructure planning efforts to support the sector’s expansion in the state.In collaboration with the Energy Research Company (EPE), I helped establishing a comprehensive project database that allows more precise planning of transmission line capacity, creating a proactive approach to energy infrastructure. Additionally, I played a central role in defining interconnection strategies and worked closely with government agencies to shape new state-level environmental laws and wind project licensing norms.My work also involved active participation in public consultations with ANEEL, where I advocate for policies that improve project feasibility and aligned Rio Grande do Sul's long-term renewable energy goals with Federal objectives.

Renobrax is a renewable energy developer focused on utility-scale wind and solar projects in Brazil, overseeing all phases from site selection to project readiness. As Director, I co-led strategic and operational activities, including land acquisition, permitting, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that projects progressed smoothly toward “ready to build” status.A key accomplishment was establishing a joint venture with Vestas, enabling co-development of over 1.5 GW in wind energy capacity. Representing Renobrax within the venture, I guided project strategy, managed stakeholder relationships, and reported progress to the Board, ensuring alignment with both partner and corporate goals.I was instrumental in building relationships with environmental agencies, securing permits for key projects in as little as three months—a significant improvement over the standard nine-month timeline. Additionally, I represented Renobrax in dialogues with regulatory and financial bodies, including ANEEL, BNDES, and private investors, strengthening our market position and facilitating long-term financing.Internally, I helped promote a collaborative culture by implementing weekly team meetings, fostering transparency, and aligning on strategic objectives. This approach enhanced team cohesion and responsiveness, driving Renobrax’s success in Brazil’s competitive energy market.
