At Stride, we're working on a benefits suite for what we believe is an underserved community – freelance and gig economy workers. We want to create economic security for anyone who works for themselves. We offer an easy way for 1099 workers to apply for benefits coverage. We've also expanded to other spaces like tax and financial management, so as to make it financially accessible for anybody who juggles multiple gigs or is just pursuing a dream on their own.As a business, we sit in a unique position and have customers at leading companies (think Amazon Flex, Doordash, Instacart, and many more) who want to make their gig workforce lives easier. We also serve benefits agencies and payors (Oscar, National General). It's rare that a startup has a good mission and a good business, but here we are.As joint Head of Engineering for a 50-person organization I:- Launched a multi-month, org-wide migration to our next-gen apps and services for our Stride Consumers.- Helped define the vision and resources for our future consumer finance initiatives.- Led the definition of an AI-first vision and strategy for Stride.

- Became Head of Product Engineering and joint Head of Engineering, reporting directly to our Founder/CEO.- Led a 40-person organization through a leadership transition during our busiest time of the year.

- Led multiple Engineering teams through the inception, implementation, and launch of our Stride SaaS Platform, bringing multi-million dollar ARR.- Grew a highly-engaged, culturally-sound Engineering team 4x in 1.5 years, from 10 to 40 people.

- Started the Mobile Engineering team, composed of iOS/Android/Backend Software Engineers. Scaled it up from 1 to 8 people so far.- Delivered on multiple high-stakes, multi-million dollar products like Stride Workforce Partners. Helped directly on closing deals with companies such as Doordash, Instacart, and Amazon.- 2x'd the active users and engagement of both our iOS and Android apps in a period of one year, from an already high baseline of hundreds of thousands of weekly active users.

- Joined as one of the first employees and Lead Android Engineer when the company was still on stealth mode. - Created the Rylo Android App from scratch, managing product requirements, milestones, as well as implementation of the full feature set for launch: library/data model, USB/Bluetooth LE interfaces, GL/native video rendering, media codecs, and many more. - Maintained, extended functionality and improved robustness after launch, delivering several major releases: live USB media streaming from the camera, cloud sync. - As of August 2018, Rylo has sold tens of thousands of units, successfully launched on both Amazon and Best Buy with 4.0+ ratings and has over 90% customer satisfaction rate.

- Engineer and one of the main leads for mapping inside the Navdy HUD and the Android companion app.- Owned and led development on a large set of features, including but not limited to: Navdy navigation protocol on the companion app, fuel routing, contacts and location sharing, nearby places search, traffic reroutes, map-matching, map animation on the HUD, maps on the Android companion app, etc.- Contributed to various parts of the Android-based Navdy Operating System stack for the device (accessing OBD-II APIs, Bluetooth, OTA updates, Navdy cloud services on AWS)- Successfully launched Navdy OS version 1.0 (commercial launch of Navdy) and version 1.1, its biggest update yet.

- Engineer/Tech Lead for HERE Traffic Drive, an Android automotive-grade navigation app geared towards our customers'​ drive testing teams to test and give feedback about our automotive cloud data.- Engineer/Tech Lead for HERE Sensor Manager and HERE Traffic Analytics (https://company.here.com/automotive/traffic/traffic-analytics/), as part of the Connected Driving organization. Designed, architected and developed REST services, AngularJS web application, user management.- Served as main coordinator for both projects between engineering and business, product, operations as well as UX/UI design.- Full-stack engineer in a small, highly innovative team dedicated to the development of new experiences in Traffic for Nokia's HERE Maps.- Creator of the first prototype and one of the lead contributors to HERE Traffic Viewer, a web and mobile B2B platform for Traffic data collection and visualization. - It has grown to be now used globally by multiple HERE customers as well as internal sales and product teams, helping drive multi-million dollar revenue.

Developed Findroid, a social Android app featuring geolocation and Augmented Reality. The team of four achieved 1st place out of six finalists in the Android App Contest heldby Telefonica, the 3rd largest telecommunications provider in the world.

It shows the main points of interest of the department's complex and lets the user interact with them.
