I am an experienced Electromechanical Technician who was educated at London Ontario's Fanshawe College.Our studies focused on Robotics and Process control, with courses in PLCs, Microcontroller Architecture, and Motors and Generators. We studied FANUC robots, designed and built digital logic circuits, and gained skills in basic electrical wiring and CSA regulations.I was employed as a Summer Student at Accuride Canada Inc in 1996 and 1997 as a production machine operator. I was trained in machine lockout procedures, and performed minor adjustments to the equipment as necessary. I was able to learn basic welding techniques when asked to assist with reworking flawed parts.After graduating with a diploma, I worked for 2 years at Counterparts Electronics, where I learned from owners of a successful small business. I was able to reinforce what I learned in college, and enjoyed the opportunity to share electronics ideas with mechanics, engineers and designers from various industries.As a Service Technician at IDS Toshiba/OE Canada, I gained experience in a variety of disciplines such as High Volume Printing, Automation, Conveyor systems, Mechanical Repair, Electronics troubleshooting, Electrical wiring and how to safely service high voltage equipment. During this time, I gained experience with computer networking and the integration of new controllers to exitisting networks.At Coinstar, I was responsible for maintaining a network of coin counting machines throughout SouthWestern Ontario. My duties included Electronic and Mechanical repairs and upgrades. Coinstar kiosks were expected to meet brand expectations on appearance and accuracy. I was responsible for cash handling and the transportation of coin to partner processing sites. When TD Bank and Coinstar began a 4 year partnership, TD cited my customer service and responsiveness as a key determining factor.In recent years, I've earned experience in the repair of retail food service equipment and for-trade scale maintenance; as well as maintaining and repairing network architecture and point of sale systems for clients who are national brands.In my current role as an Reliability Maintenance Engineer with JLL, my primary role is to ensure Amazon's YXU1 plant is safe and comfortable for Amazon's workers. After this, it is our role to ensure the plant is fully operational, running according to spec, and that our clients needs are being met above their expectations.Working to launch Amazon's latest site has offered me daily opportunities to learn and grow from the very best at what they do.
