Member of the Corporate and Commercial Department, assigned particularly to the Myanmar and Cambodia practice groups; provides, in consultation with, and under the guidance of, qualified Singapore, Myanmar and Cambodian attorneys, corporate, capital markets and general legal advice to domestic and international clients on cross-border investments and transactions in Myanmar and Cambodia, including company registration and investment structuring and financing, particularly in the areas of financial services, telecommunications, media and technology, real estate, public infrastructure and energy; advises on cross-border investment and capital markets transactions involving Philippine law.

PMFTC Inc. (“PMFTC”), successor-in-interest of Philip Morris Philippines Manufacturing Inc. (“PMPMI”), is the local affiliate of Philip Morris International, the largest tobacco company in the world. As a member of PMFTC’s Law Department: • I was responsible for responding to all legal concerns and queries related to Litigation, Corporate Affairs, Sales, Marketing, Tax and Internal Compliance, including local and foreign regulatory requirements such as the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, U.S. Sanctions Regulations, and Competition Law.• I assisted in the structuring and closing of a business arrangement between PMPMI and Fortune Tobacco Corporation. In November 2010, I was subsequently awarded the Philip Morris International Excellence Award for my work on the transaction.• I advised the company on integration issues involving PMFTC, the joint-venture corporation formed following the business combination, now the largest tobacco company in the Philippines.
