Assist permanent staff in administering pilot aptitude testing for flight training candidates. Use of Alsim 102 simulator for Automated Pilot Selection System (GVSS). Assisted in adapting Alsim 102 selection program for Visual Flying Selection (VFS) program as replacement for Practical Flying Selection on Slingsby Firefly a/c. Assisted in developing VFS scenario's to determine which candidates are sufficiently capable to enter formal flying training program (EMVO) at Woensdrecht. Parttime position with civilian status. Due to reorganization of aircrew selection methods in RNLAF use of flight simulators for this purpose will be terminated. So as of 1 January 2016 I will be happily and effectively retiring from the Air Force after being a member of the service for more than 50 years.
