I have been painting for as long as I can remember. My family moved around a lot when I was a youth. So as a shy kid, I used drawing and painting to reach out to people and make friends. Things have not changed. Nice to meet you đ. My passion for art became a defining part of who I am as a person, even though I was raised to believe that being a fine artist was a hobby or something you did in retirement. I studied to be a medical doctor, among many other things. Finally, I compromised with the "real world" and followed the career path as a graphic designer. Working for a living as a graphic designer soon did not fit who I was meant to be. I could do it well; I just did not have any interest in doing it. So my painting passions, ever-constant, started to show through, and I developed collections of artworks. Burning the midnight oil, I balanced my design day job and passion projects. Finally, after decades of denial, I took my art career seriously. Since then, I have fully embraced who I am as a painter and fine artist. I have shown my work internationally and have created and sold thousands of artworks for some of the world's greatest brands, companies, and institutions. I have raised thousands of dollars for charitable causes and pushed awareness about topics I care deeply about. I continue to create directly from my soul and with the passion to bring beauty to the world through my artwork. I believe I have been a painter since I was born. Following who you are and realising your true potential truly takes courage, patience, hard work, and, if youâre lucky enough, a network of people who also believe in you. Follow your heart. It knows where itâs going.http://www.peterfarmer.ca/
